AI Due Diligence Across Canary Wharf Sectors
Know what the AI is really worth before you invest or acquire in Canary Wharf.
Investors, acquirers and enterprise buyers in Canary Wharf, London, United Kingdom are increasingly evaluating fintech companies, banks, asset managers and venture-backed technology businesses that describe themselves as AI-driven. The UK is Europe's largest market for AI investment, and nearly every pitch now includes an AI story. After the AI hype cycle, investors are finding that some "proprietary AI" is a thin layer on third-party models, that inference costs can erode margins, and that data and IP rights behind AI products are often unclear.
ELITIST delivers a fixed-scope, fully remote AI and technology due diligence audit using a structured 60-point framework across architecture, code quality, AI authenticity, infrastructure and unit economics, security, data and compliance, intellectual property, team and process, and product roadmap. We trace every AI call, independently test AI claims, model AI costs at scale, review controls against UK GDPR, and flag potential deal-breakers in a mid-point red-flag memo.
An investor-ready report with an overall verdict, a Red, Amber, Green scorecard, an AI reality check, a risk register with deal impact, AI unit economics, a cost-to-fix estimate and a prioritised remediation roadmap, so decision-makers in Canary Wharf can proceed, renegotiate or walk away with confidence.
Frequently Asked Questions
An AI due diligence audit is an independent assessment of a company's AI capabilities and surrounding technology. It verifies whether the AI is genuine, performs as claimed, is owned by the company, is cost-efficient at scale, is secure and complies with data protection requirements, and estimates what it would cost to fix any issues found.
Yes. We work with investors, acquirers, lenders and founders in Canary Wharf, London, United Kingdom through fully remote delivery, using read-only access to code, cloud and billing data and video interviews with the target's leadership, aligned to UK business hours.
We trace every AI call in the code and workflows to identify which models are used and what proprietary data, fine-tuning and workflow logic sits around them, then test the AI independently against the claims made to investors.
A Red Flag Scan typically takes about five working days, a Standard AI and technology due diligence takes two to three weeks, and a Deep buy-side review takes four to five weeks, starting once access and documents are provided.
UK companies must comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, overseen by the Information Commissioner's Office, which has published guidance on AI and data protection. Sector regulators such as the FCA apply AI expectations in their sectors, acquisitions of AI businesses may require notification under the National Security and Investment Act 2021, and companies selling into Europe must consider the EU AI Act. We review the technical controls behind these obligations; formal legal advice should come from qualified UK counsel.
AI model usage is a variable cost that grows with every customer interaction. If it is not measured per user or per transaction, it can quietly erode margins as the business scales, so we calculate it and model it at three and ten times current scale.
Yes. A vendor-side readiness audit uses the same framework investors apply, so founders can find and fix red flags in advance, answer technical questions confidently, shorten deal timelines and protect their valuation.
Every tier has a fixed scope and a fixed fee agreed before work starts, quoted in GBP or USD. The fee depends on the tier and the size of the target, and a Red Flag Scan fee can be credited towards a full audit if you upgrade.
